You’ll be Amazed by These 5 Men Who Still Look Great in Their 50s

By  |

We have a pretty consistent image of how ageing works, as we get older our bodies change and become less active, different from what they used to be. That doesn’t mean that there aren’t people who are willing to fight against this idea, and one such person was Chuando Tan, a Singaporean model/photographer/ex-pop star who proved that you’re never too old to look good.

So, in honour of Chuando Tan and showing us that a man in his 50s can still fight the process of ageing we’re going to be taking a look at more famous men who, if you told us otherwise, could easily pass off as being way younger than they are.

Brad Pitt

At 53 years old, he’s become one of the most memorable actors around, with roles covering different genres and different parts that no one could have thought of, from policeman to a military captain and even death itself. Having started off from a young age, Pitt became famous for his good looks almost instantly and had been featured as one of the most handsome actors for decades.

He’s also become known for his romantic scandals, particularly with both of his divorces, but he continued to be popular and held in high regard by his fans regardless.

While he doesn’t look as young as he used to, he can still rock up a stylish young look, and at most you’d confuse him with someone in their 30s, we wouldn’t blame you for doing so either.

Lenny Kravitz

Don’t be fooled by his chiselled jaw, good fashion sense and amazing abs, this funk-rock star is already well into his 50s, and he owns it like it’s no one’s business. Active since the late 80s, Kravitz had gone on to dabble in many musical genres, earning him a place among some of the best musicians still around. He’s even taken on active and has interpreted roles such as Cinna from the Hunger Games

Even with all that, his young looks certainly help him stay in people’s minds, he’s gone on to show his pecs many times and is no stranger to walking around in clothing you wouldn’t expect a man in his 50s to put on.

Kevin Chiak

Who says a man in his 50s can’t look fit and ageless ? Native Singaporean, Kevin Chiak, 51 continues to prove this assumption wrong not just by looking young but staying fit and active, more so than a lot of his peers who are still in their prime.

Kevin Chiak is a multiple time national champion bodybuilder and a stalwart of the Singapore bodybuilding and physique sports scene. Kevin has won the Singapore Senior Manhunt in 1996/1997 and was the National Bodybuilding Champion from 2007 – 2010. He was also crowned the overall champion title of Mr Singapore 2010.

Kevin founded FITNESS MOVEMENT LEAGUE, and served as the President from 2013.

He also owns K-Champs Health And Fitness Academy, a top class training and coaching centre which include health coaching, adult personal training and image grooming.

Blair Underwood

While mostly a television star, one can’t deny that Blair Underwood certainly looks and acts younger than he is. This 52-year-old makes an effort always to be full of life anywhere he went and received the 1993 Humanitarian Award thanks to his work for the Los Angeles Muscular Dystrophy Association.

On the side of acting, while he’s not as famous as you’d expect, he offers a lot of talent and dedication towards his roles, appearing in a variety of movies, TV shows and even the video game, The Legend of Spyro: Dawn of the Dragon. He also keeps up with his Instagram account, which has earned him a significant following thanks to his tendency to travel and document whatever he can.

Zheng Geping

We round off our list with yet another Singapore native. Zheng Geping is a renowned Singaporean actor working for Channel 8. While he became a full-time artist back in 1982, he has dabbled in other jobs such as cooking and teaching Taekwondo.

At 52, Zheng still puts many to shame with his solid six pack and masterful martial arts skill, which has landed him a ton of role in Chinese movies. Chief of all being Like Father, Like Daughter for which he received the Star Award back in 2007.

With all that in mind, it’s no wonder that he’s become one of the most famous stars in Singapore and has garnered a lot of followers in his social media account. He even offers advice on fitness and health to others and strives to help people improve when he can.

These are only a few of the many amazing men that have managed to retain their youthful look and personalities even in their age. We’re especially glad for Chuando Tan for obtaining people’s recognition and of everyone on this list for showing that growing older doesn’t have just to be something we take sitting down.
